<article><hdr>Airborne shot of a PT-14</hdr><body>
<hi style=afpcap>The Waco model UPF-7 was one of a number of biplanes produced by the company for civilian usage during the late '30s, which subsequently was evaluated by the Army Air Corps as a contender for the primary training role. A single prototype was allocated the designation XPT-14 and was followed by 13 YPT-14s ordered in 1940. These were later designated PT-14, with an additional example obtained from civilian ownership being impressed into service as a PT-14A.</hi>
